Show season in Arizona has come to a close and I have been busy in the studio. I don’t have much to say about it so I thought I’d just post a few pictures and then its back to the studio I go!
Studio from the outside – a somewhat timeless photo as the skies are frequently blue and cloudless!
The wheel waiting for action! In a few minutes, it won’t be this clean!
A few days of effort waiting to be trimmed on the kick wheel.
The kick wheel is ready for action – trimming tools at the ready.
After trimming some of the pots need to be carved using my favorite cutting and carving tools.
Carved yarn bowl and friends – drying!
Dry pots waiting to be loaded into the electric kiln for the bisque firing!
At the end of the day ( and sometimes during the day), the pots waiting for trimming need to be covered, sprayed with water and zipped into the vinyl covered ware cart – the air is dry in Arizona!
At the end of the day, it is time to pause and enjoy the sunset!
